The Xbox ROG Ally X is now $200 more expensive in Australia

The handheld can now be yours for $1,800 AUD.

The Xbox ROG Ally X now costs $200 more locally, mirroring the same change to the handheld in Japan. That means in Australia, the Xbox ROG Ally X will now set you back $1,799 AUD.

The updated price was first spotted by users on Reddit; the pricing itself is reflected on ASUS’ official site, JB Hi-Fi, and other retailers.

In our review of the device back in October of last year, we surmised that the handheld’s then-price of $1,599 AUD could “make your eyes water”.

Late last year, ASUS signaled a future price hike, citing, “structural volatility in the global supply chain is putting sustained upward pressure on costs for key components, particularly memory (DRAM) and storage components (NAND and SSD).”

The price of the lesser-powered ROG Xbox Ally — no X — is unchanged at $999 AUD.
