Rocksteady Suicide Squad game confirmed, more at DC FanDome

The Rocksteady Suicide Squad game was today confirmed by the studio ahead of a proper reveal and will take place at DC FanDome later this month.

The studio today tweeted an image of DC’s Superman with a target — also (presumably) doubling as the game’s logo — on his head. Moreover — and it could just be us — but does Superman have something wrong with him? He’s got a bit of an infection-looking thing going on in his cheek and has some purple haze around his eyes. If it’s not Superman, maybe we’re actually looking at Bizarro? You can decide for yourself, as the full image can be found below.

Rumours of a Suicide Squad popped up in June 2020, with it and Gotham Knights domains registered by WB Games. With Rocksteady officially on Suicide Squad and off Batman, it’s likely that the long-rumoured Batman Court of Owls game will come from WB Montreal sooner than later.

DC FanDome is a free online event that’s promised “new announcements from WB Games” alongside DC-themed news across comics, TV and film. The event kicks off from 3.00 am AEST on 23 August.

We’ll have more on Suicide Squad as it’s made available.
