RE:Verse is a Resident Evil multiplayer shooter celebrating 25 years

And it's free with Resident Evil Village.

RE:Verse is a Resident Evil multiplayer shooter pitting the series’ heroes and villains against one another in celebration of its 25 year anniversary.

The multiplayer title — which features six-person deathmatches — will be offered free to those who purchase Resident Evil Village, meaning it will also be available from 7 May 2021 on Windows PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S & X.

The short gameplay demo showed off characters like Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield — alongside the fearsome Nemesis — fighting in locations all around the Raccoon City Police Department. It also looks to employ cel-shading of some kind, giving it a distinct look.

We’ll have more on RE:Verse as news is made available. In the meantime, what do you think about it?

Resident Evil Village is a sequel to Resident Evil 7 and is expected on 7 May 2021 across Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S & X, PS4 and PS5. A PS5-exclusive demo called Maiden will be available later today.
