Return to Monkey Island heads to PC, Switch later this year

High-tech.

Return to Monkey Island was showcased at last night’s third-party Nintendo Direct, also confirming the title would head to Switch alongside Windows PC.

Release platforms were confirmed alongside a generous heaping of gameplay, which you can check out below.

“The tangled history of Monkey Island’s most famous secret leads Guybrush Threepwood – intrepid hero, leather jacket salesman, mighty pirate – to embark on a new swash-buckling adventure through the Caribbean, determined to uncover the elusive secret once and for all,” Devolver and Terrible Toybox said of the title.

“No trip back to Mêlée Island would be complete without his old friends (and foes), but while Guybrush and the evil LeChuck look certain to clash on the high seas once more, a new crew of Pirate Leaders seem to have arrived to spoil the party.”

We don’t have a specific release date as yet, but we can expect Return to Monkey Island sometime in 2022 on Windows PC and Switch.
