Respawn contradicts own statement that Titanfall 3 isn’t coming

Wait, what?

Titanfall developer has contradicted a statement from… itself… that stated “there’s nothing there” when it came to the future of the series and the likelihood of Titanfall 3.

“There’s nothing there,” Respawn Entertainment community coordinator Jason Garza said in a recent stream when asked about the future of the franchise.

“Don’t get your hopes up, man. I’ve said this before, we just don’t have anything in the works,” Garza said. “There’s nothing there. We’ve got too many other games in the works right now.”

Following the stream — and reports that sprang from it — Respawn took to Twitter with a clarification.

“Contrary to what some folks are reporting, Titanfall is the very core of our DNA,” Respawn’s tweet reads. “Who knows what the future holds…”

You tell us, Respawn.

Titanfall‘s been a bit of a mess of late; hackers first took to Apex Legends in a bid to draw attention back to the franchise in April of this year. Earlier this month, fans called Titanfall 2 “compromised”, requiring Respawn to deploy a hotfix to address vulnerabilities.

We’ll let you know if the Apex Legends and Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order developer announces Titanfall 3.
