Resident Evil Village demo a possibility, new survey suggests

Resident Evil Village demo is being considered by Capcom, a new survey from the publisher suggests.

As part of a series of questions about Village — ranging from whether or not you agree that it will be set in a village to whether or not you believe this is the eighth title in the franchise — one asks if you’d be interested in playing a demo ahead of release.

Your answer should obviously be yes, especially if Capcom goes the Resident Evil 7 route and makes a playable demo that’s a unique experience and not just a chunk of the retail game.

The survey also asks if customers plan to buy the game on next-gen platforms and list the PS5 disc-based, PS5 digital and Xbox Series X consoles alongside an “Xbox Series X Digital Only Console (if avaiable)”. That last entry could be Capcom hedging its bets or perhaps a tease of Microsoft’s worst-kept secret, the rumoured Xbox Series S. Time will tell.

If you’re interested in completing the survey, you can do so here.

We’ll have more on Resident Evil Village when it’s made available. The title heads to Windows PC, Xbox Series X and PS5 in 2021. The title was officially announced last month.
