Resident Evil 7 gets new “Twilight Version” demo, available today on PS4

Capcom used Tokyo Game Show to announce a new Resident Evil 7 demo.

Called “Twilight Version”, it appears to be an extension of the game’s first demo, “Beginning Hour”.

“Beginning Hour” was launched at E3 this year, and was criticised for having a very hard stop. Capcom has teased that an extension was on the way.

“Twilight Version” will be available from today to all PS4 users, which is also a bit of a change — “Beginning Hour” was exclusive to PS Plus users.

We’ll have more as this develops.

Update: Capcom has confirmed the above, adding that the demo will be available “shortly today”.

Update 2: The Resident Evil Facebook page has posted a new image that all but officially confirms the demo will take us into the inaccessible room seen in “Beginning Hour.”

Update 3: “Twilight Version” is actually an update to the original “Beginning Hour”, not a new entity. Go and download the demo or grab the 3GB update now!

Thanks, as always, to Alex!
