Resident Evil 7 has a 806MB day one patch on PS4

Resident Evil 7, just hours ahead of launch, has a day one patch on PS4 that totals 806.2MB.

Patch notes for the version 1.01 update have been detailed by ThisGenGaming, available via an early copy of the game.

The patch contains:

  • Now supports add-ons
  • New trophies added
  • Now supports notifications of new additional chapters
  • Fixed certain bugs and issues

We’ve reached out to Capcom in the wake of the news, asking for confirmation of patch sizes on Windows PC and Xbox One. We’ve yet to hear back.

Resident Evil 7 is available from tomorrow on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4. Read our spoiler-free review from 3.00 am AEDT on 24 January.
