Resident Evil 4 VR will go FPS on Oculus Quest 2

Not exactly the RE4 remake we wanted...

Resident Evil 4 VR will offer up a VR experience on Oculus Quest 2, Capcom has recently confirmed.

The title will be a first-person affair rather than its traditional third-person presentation and require the Facebook-fueled virtual reality device.

Speaking of the title, Mike Verdu, VP of Content at Facebook Reality Labs, said the new experience would be “immersive […] and will bring new richness and depth to the Resident Evil experience you know and love.”

More details of Resident Evil 4 VR are promised at an Oculus Gaming Showcase event taking place next week.

Rumours of a Resident Evil 4 remake have been swirling around the internet for some time now — would you prefer something more on the style of Resident Evil 2 or Resident Evil 3 over this VR exercise? Why or why not?

We’ll have more on Resident Evil 4 VR when it’s made available.
