Resident Evil 3 Mac, iPhone, iPad release now avaliable

It'll give you S.T.A.R.S.

Resident Evil 3 is now available on supported Macs, iPhones, and iPads, Capcom has today advised.

The remade sequel is compatible with iPads and Macs with the M1 chip or later alongside iPhone 16 models, and iPhone 15 Pro models.

Resident Evil 3 follows S.T.A.R.S. officer Jill Valentine in her desperate journey to escape the viral outbreak spreading through Raccoon City,” Capcom advised. “The game delivers a unique strain of survival horror based on the fear of being pursued by a relentless force, the Bio Organic Weapon known as Nemesis. Powered by Capcom’s RE ENGINE, this vivid reimagining of the original game delivers action-packed gameplay and bone-chilling visuals with detail and fidelity that can only be realised by today’s current technology.”

As with other Capcom Apple releases, players have the ability to try a free demo of the title before committing to a full purchase. Progression continues from the demo into the full experience, and save data is transferrable between all Apple devices detailed above.

“In the end, Resident Evil 3 is own nemesis, a remake that’s enjoyable but seems a little shallow when compared to the innovations the RE3 that came before it brought to the table,” I said of the title in my 2020 review. “Ultimately, the beauty here is that one doesn’t replace the other; they’re both available to savvy gamers and should be enjoyed in equal measure.”

Resident Evil 3 is available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5, and supported Mac, iPhone, and iPad devices.
