More games, yours to keep.

PlayStation Plus Essentials August 2025 freebies have today been detailed by Sony and continue PlayStation’s 15th anniversary celebrations.

PlayStation Plus subscribers in each and every tier of the program — Essential, Extra, Deluxe and Premium — will be able to download the following titles for free over the next month. They’re in addition to the library of titles offered to PlayStation Plus subscribers above the Essential tier.

Last month:  July 2025  |  This month: August 2025  |  Next month: September 2025

  • Lies of P (PS4, PS5)
  • Day Z (PS4)
  • My One Hero’s Justice 2 (PS4)

The titles above will become available from 6 August here in Australia.

What do you make of the free games above? Don’t forget that those in Extra, Deluxe and Premium also have access to a larger library of titles too.

Additionally, always remember that all PS4 games listed above can also be downloaded and played on PS5.

Moreover, Sony will also make the following discounts and events available as part of a larger 15th anniversary celebration. August perks include “a special set of 15th Anniversary Avatars, featuring fan-favorite titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, Diablo IV, God of War Ragnarök, and Twisted Metal, all available at no additional cost.”

Depending on when you read this, there still may be a short while while left to pick up PlayStation Plus free games for July 2025 — so make sure you don’t forget!
