Red Dead Redemption 2 soundtrack available next month

A Red Dead Redemption 2 soundtrack will finally be available for purchase next month, it’s been confirmed.

The digital soundtrack will be available from 12 July and comes from Lakeshore Records. Produced by Daniel Lanois, the soundtrack also contains work from Lanois himself alongside artists such as Willie Nelson, D’Angelo, Rocco DeLuca, Rhihannon Giddens and Josh Homme.

At the moment, two of the soundtrack’s tracks are already available for consumption — Lanois’ “Table Top” and Rocco DeLuca’s “Crash of Worlds”. The former track is below.

Red Dead Redemption 2 provided a terrific compositional space, vast and covering a range of emotional textures — a real place for my imagination to run wild,” Lanois said.

“From recording with Rhiannon Giddens in Nashville, to New Orleans with my friend Cyril Neville, to New York City with D’Angelo, to Willie Nelson and Josh Homme, the inspiration never quit!”

Red Dead Redemption 2 is currently available on Xbox One and PS4.
