Red Dead Online goes standalone for $6.95 in December

On sale until February 2021.

Red Dead Online will be offered as a standalone release from 1 December, offered up at a discounted price of $6.95 AUD until the middle of February 2021.

The standalone offering will also “include an option to unlock Red Dead Redemption 2 Story Mode, plus all existing gameplay upgrades and content for Red Dead Online, such as the upcoming 10 Rank expansion for the Bounty Hunter Role – scheduled to launch next week,” Rockstar Games advised in a press release.

The game’s upcoming expansion adds new Prestigious level equipment and unlockable skills alongside new Legendary Bounties and a new 100 Rank Outlaw Pass. To celebrate, all existing Bounty Hunter Missions are awarding double XP in Red Dead Online this week.

Moreover, Red Dead Online players who connect their Rockstar Games Social Club account to Twitch’s Prime Gaming will receive the following:

  • 5 Free Legendary Animal Pheromones
  • 6,000 Naturalist XP
  • A Reward for a free Wilderness Camp
  • A free Katata Coat crafted from the Legendary Katata Elk hide

Red Dead Online is currently part of Red Dead Redemption 2 on Winodws PC, Xbox One and PS4. Red Dead Online will be available on Windows PC via the Rockstar Game Launcher & Epic Games Store, Xbox One and PS4. The games will be backwards compatible on Xbox Series S & X and PS5.
