Red Bull Racing suspends Juri Vips for racist, homophobic slurs on Twitch

Good.

Red Bull Racing has suspended driver Juri Vips after he used racial and homophobic slurs on Twitch.

Vips was playing Call of Duty Warzone when he cursed and then used the inexcusable slur of “n*gger”.

The Estonian junior driver also remarked, “that’s so gay” when asked to wear a pink Red Bull hat by fellow driver Liam Lawson.

Red Bull Racing has confirmed that Juri has been suspended “from all team duties with immediate effect, pending a full investigation into the incident”.

“As an organisation we condemn abuse of any kind and have a zero-tolerance policy to racist language or behaviour within our organisation,” Red Bull Racing continued.

Vips took to Instagram following the suspension, saying, “I wish to unreservedly apologise for the offensive language used during a live gaming stream earlier today.”
