[UPDATE] Ratchet & Clank return in QForce on PS3

Ted Price, CEO of Insomniac Games, took to the US PlayStation Blog today to announce the next Ratchet & Clank game, a downloadable title called Full Frontal Assault.

Said Price, “we’ve…heard a lot of community requests to develop a new Ratchet & Clank game, one that returns to the classic third-person Ratchet & Clank camera. We listened to your requests, and this holiday season Insomniac will release our new Ratchet & Clank game as part of our 10th Anniversary Celebration.”

Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault is described by Insomniac as “a fun-sized Ratchet adventure…[that aligns with] the series’ classic feel, camera, controls and weapons, while innovating and giving you a whole new way to play. Even better, the addition of online features means you can experience Full Frontal Assault with your friends.”

Insomniac and Sony promise more details about Full Frontal Assault, including a release date, in the next couple of weeks.

Update: Looks like we spoke a little soon! The EU PlayStation Blog‘s got a post from Ted Price introducing Ratchet & Clank: QForce, not Full Frontal Assault. We’ve a name change AND a full retail release, it seems! Here’s a packshot from that blog:
