Rare’s next game is Sea of Thieves

Today at the Xbox press conference, developer Rare introduced Sea of Thieves.

Attendees were shown a lush jungle environment, complete with pirate shanty, as the game’s first-person protagonist explored the area.

An MMO of sorts, the persistent world showed online players exploring together and combining to take on others in ship versus ship combat at sea.

We’ll hopefully hear more about the game at E3.
