Rainbow Six Quarantine name change being considered

For obvious reasons.

Rainbow Six Quarantine name change is likely, Ubisoft has recently confirmed.

With the COVID-19 pandemic continuing to rage on, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot suggested the term “quarantine” was a bit too on the nose.

“On Rainbow Six Quarantine, we are creating a product that is actually – as it’s named today – it is something we are evaluating and we’ll see what comes in the future on that product,” Guillemot said in a recent earnings call.

Announced back at E3 2019Rainbow Six Quarantine is a 3-player co-op shooter set on a space station in the future. In it, players will enter the station’s quarantine area to face off against mutated aliens.

In October of last year, Quarantine was delayed until sometime after April 2021. In this recent earnings call, Ubisoft has confirmed it will come out some time before 30 September 2021.
