Rainbow Six Extraction the new name of Rainbow Six Quarantine (& Parasite!)

Finally got there.

Rainbow Six Extraction is the new name of Rainbow Six Parasite, and Rainbow Six Quarantine before that.

Quarantine was first announced at E3 2019, months ahead of the COVID-19 pandemic that eventually forced us all (even now, sigh) into actual quarantine.

Back in February of this year, Ubisoft announced that Quarantine would be renamed Rainbow Six Parasite as a placeholder name until an official name was decided upon. Today, we finally know that’s Extraction.

Personally, I think I like Parasite better, but I’ll give Extraction some time to grow on me. The former seems more in-line with what to expect from the new title: a malicious alien entity has taken hold of a remote space station and you need to save the day.

What do you think of the name change?

Rainbow Six Extraction will feature at Ubisoft Forward, currently scheduled for 5.00 am AEST on 13 June.
