QuakeCon 2021 confirmed as a digital-only event

Another one bites the dust...

QuakeCon 2021 will go forward as a digital-only event, Bethesda has today confirmed.

“We can’t wait to get back to Dallas with our QuakeCon family, but for the continued safety of our staff, the volunteers, and the community, this year’s QuakeCon will once again be a digital-only event,” an update from the publisher proclaimed.

“We’ll have all the Peace, Love, and Rockets – remotely – August 19-21,” the update continued.

While QuakeCon 2021 will feature livestreams, charity events, giveaways and more, Bethesda hasn’t yet released any information on what to expect and when; that’s coming in June.

QuakeCon 2021 will take place over 19-21 August — so likely 20-22 August here in Australia — and mirrors Bethesda’s tactic for QuakeCon 2020.
