Quake Champions’ closed beta will soon get Australian servers

Quake Champions closed beta doesn’t have Australian servers, but that’s set to change, according to id Software’s Tim Willits.

“I love my Australian fans, but y’all live on the other side of the world,” he told IGN before continuing that id is partnering with a “major server cloud company” to provide local servers.

Willits also said Australian-specific invitations to the Quake Champions closed beta will go out after those servers go online.

“So no-one panic in Australia, we got you guys covered, but we will get you in to the closed beta after we get our servers spun up in North America and Europe, but you guys are not far behind,” he said.

Quake Champions is a PC exclusive due this year. Players can still register for the closed beta.
