PUBG will be free-to-play on Xbox One next week

PUBG will be free-to-play on Xbox One next week, Microsoft has advised.

The freebie is thanks to Xbox Live Gold’s Free Play Days. It starts at 5.01 am AEST on 20 April and runs until 4.59 am AEST on 23 April.

As part of the event, Xbox One players will be able to download and have full access to PUBG‘s Xbox Game Preview. That means all multiplayer modes — solo, duos and squads — are up for grabs. Any Battle Points earned in play will carry over into the full (Game Preview version of full, anyway) game if a player decides to purchase it.

The news comes as Microsoft and Brendan ‘PlayerUnknown’ Greene confirmed that PUBG‘s second map, Miramar, will head to Xbox One in May.

PUBG is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One and on iOS as PUBG Mobile.
