Psychonauts 2 accessibility options showcased by Double Fine

Including invincibility and more.

Psychonauts 2 will come with accesibility options including an invincibility mode that will allow players of “all ages [and] all possible needs” to help complete it, developer Double Fine recently disclosed.

“If you beat Psychonauts 2 with the invincibility toggle on, you still beat P2,” a series of tweets began.

“All people should be able to enjoy games. All ages, all possible needs,” the developer continued. “It’s an ongoing and important process for our industry and a challenge we need to met. End of the day? We want you to have fun, to laugh, to experience a story that affects you. On whatever terms you want.”

A post on Double Fine’s website also reveals that the upcoming title will support remappable controls, controller vibration intensity, inverted camera controls, a no fall damage toggle, narrative combat mode, localised signs, larger subtitles and other accessibility features.

Psychonauts 2 heads to Windows PC, Mac, Linux, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4 and PS5 on 25 August 2021, part of the Xbox Game Pass program.
