PS5 Game Boost enhances framerates of “select” PS4 games

PS5 Game Boost is a new feature that will enhance framerates of PS4 and PlayStation VR games, though it’s unclear which titles are supported at the current time.

Sony has declared those using the feature will “enjoy faster and smoother frame rates in select PS4 and PS VR games” and the same time it provided more information about its PS4 to PS5 upgrade scheme.

On the topic of PlayStation VR, Sony also used its website to confirm that players can “connect [their] PlayStation VR to [their] PS5 Digital Edition to enjoy supported digital PS VR games.” As yet, it’s unclear what titles are supported.

Sony also confirmed that PlayStation VR users will need a PlayStation Camera adaptor to connect the PS VR’s PlayStation Camera to the PS5. It appears as through Sony will provide those adaptors to customers without cost, though it’s unclear how to redeem said offer at the current time.

The PS5 heads to store shelves on 12 November.
