Exclusive to EB Games Level 4, Level 5, or PLUS members, the highly sought-after peripheral retails for $159.95 AUD plus shipping (up to $16 AUD for express post that’ll get the drive to you before Christmas).
The drives are currently sold out on Amazon Australia, JB Hi-Fi and other retailers, and currently are sitting at a jacked-up price of $250 AUD or above on sites like eBay.
The PS5 disc drive has largely been sold out in Australia ahead of the launch of the PS5 Pro, meaning those who shelled out $1,200 AUD for the new console were likely unable to get one, and therefore could only access digital content. The disc drive is compatible with both the new PS5 and the PS5 Pro.
