PS4 update 4.0 will let you transfer content between consoles using an Ethernet cable

A feature in the PS4’s upcoming 4.0 update will make it incredibly easy to transfer content from one console to the other.

As part of the update, content transfer will be possible by connecting two consoles together with an Ethernet cable.

Providing the consoles have the 4.0 update (or above), the content transfer will work with any combination of PS4s — regular, Slim or Pro — and will copy “games, saved data, captured videos and screenshots, system settings, and other content,” according to Sony.

The lack of an easy way to transfer content between Xbox One consoles is something that Microsoft is still receiving heavy criticism over, especially with users who’ve recently upgraded from an Xbox One to an Xbox One S.
