PS4 cross-play support now enabled for any title that wants it

PS4 cross-play support has left a beta test period and is now available for any title that wishes to use it.

The confirmation — of sorts — comes by way of Wired via Sony, which declared the cross-play beta was “officially” over. Already, PUBG has taken advantage of the move and offers cross-play between PS4 and Xbox One, while Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will certainly take advantage of the feature at it’s launch.

The PS4 cross-play beta began in September 2018. Other games that use cross-play between platforms include Minecraft, Fortnite and Rocket League.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 on 25 October.
