The PS3 now supports the PS4’s DualShock 4 controller wirelessly

If you’d rather use the PS4’s far-superior DualShock 4 wirelessly on your PS3, you’re now in luck.

Sony recently enabled wireless support for the DualShock 4 on PS3 in the console’s latest firmware update.

The controller doesn’t support motion or vibration — any may not work with every single title — but it’s still much nicer to use than the flimsy DualShock 3 in our opinion.

If you need a hand getting the controller paired, you can head to a helpful Reddit post here.

The DualShock 4 has worked via USB connection with the PS3 for quite some time now.
