Project Spark to be pulled from Xbox, Windows Stores today; goes offline in August

Microsoft announced that Project Spark will be pulled from the Xbox and Windows Stores within the next 24 hours.

A paid title at release, the game went free-to-play only one month later. It will now be removed from Microsoft marketplaces from today, 16 May, and online services will cease on 12 August. Users can download their desired content before that date to continue playing offline.

“Be sure to download your favorite community creations and your own uploads if they are not saved locally,” a post on Project Spark‘s forum reads.

“We’re also aware that after transitioning Project Spark to be a free incubation engine last fall, that some players might still have purchased the game at retail, and have outlined steps about obtaining a credit,” the post continues.
