Project GG is Platinum Games’ latest IP

Platinum Games “first step into the self-publishing arena” is a title codenamed Project GG.

Teased below, Platinum says that Project GG is “going to be a 100% PlatinumGames title. For everything from its setting and characters, to its game design and story, to how it’s promoted – PlatinumGames is in full control.”

Platinum received a substiantal investment from Tencent back in January 2020, allowing itself the opportunity to self-publish its titles.

The developer continues on to state that Project GG is a “heroic” game, rounding out a “superhero trilogy” that likely includes Viewtiful Joe and The Wonderful 101.

What do you think of the teaser? We’re getting some Ultraman plus Ant-Man vibes from what was shown.

We’ll have more on Project GG as news is made available.
