Pokemon Diamond & Pearl remakes head to Switch this year

Say hello to Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, remakes of the Nintendo DS’ Diamond & Pearl, will head to Switch later this year.

Nintendo and The Pokémon Company made the confirmation overnight as part of a special celebratory Pokémon 25th anniversary livestream.

The remakes will be overseen by ILCA, a developer that’s worked on titles including Dragon Quest XI, NieR: Automata, Code Vein and Pokémon Home.

Sinnoh. Remakes. Confirmed. Experience the nostalgic story from Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl in a new adventure,” Nintendo said alongside a reveal trailer (below).

We’ll let you know when a specific release date for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl is named.
