PlayStation’s Playerbase will add its biggest fan into Gran Turismo 7

You'll have to prove your loyalty.

Sony has announced The Playerbase, a new scheme that will add PlayStation’s biggest fans to games including Gran Turismo 7.

Available to players “in select markets in the Americas, Europe, Asia, South Africa, and Australia,” the Playerbase will ask those interested in applying to answer several questions about their connection to PlayStation, link their PlayStation account ID, and share “additional information” about themselves.

Following that, the final step of the process will see Sony will select a shortlist of applicants and then conduct “video interviews to learn about them and their connection to PlayStation.”

One winner will be selected and will then appear in-game in Gran Turismo 7, also helping to “design a custom Fantasy Logo and a one-of-a-kind vehicle livery which will be added permanently to the Showcase menu.”

Sony plans to add more games to the scheme in future.
