PlayStation UK tweets about #marriageequality before PlayStation AU

More than ten hours after Australian marriage equality postal survey results were issued to the public, PlayStation Europe has beaten PlayStation Australia to social media with a message of solidarity.

At 8.24 pm AEDT, The PlayStation Europe account tweeted a lovely message to followers. You can see it below.

At the time of writing, the PlayStation Australia Twitter account has posted nothing in regard to the issue. The Facebook accounts of either region are similarly bare.

That said, a free “For all the Players” PS4 theme is available to download here in Australia, though it is merely a carry-over from PlayStation Europe’s sponsorship of London Pride 2017.

We’ve asked PlayStation Australia for comment and will report back as more is known.

With those who participated responding resoundingly in favour of same-sex marriage equality here in Australia, a bill is expected to go to the Australian Senate as early as tomorrow morning.
