PlayStation State of Play coming 13 February in Australia, Bloodborne is expected

That, or we've all been punked.

A new PlayStation State of Play will air tomorrow morning, 13 February here in Australia, and fans are expecting some sort of Bloodborne announcement from it.

The show, which airs at 10 pm GMT on 12 February (check your own timezone here) translates to 9.00 am AEDT on 13 February here in Australia. Sony says the show will run for approximately 40 minutes and features “news and updates on great games coming to PS5” that are being developed by “studios around the world”.

While Sony hasn’t told us what we should specifically expect in the presentation, players are reminded that Sony’s been pulling third-party Bloodborne content from the internet of late — Aussie Lance McDonald had his 60FPS patch pulled earlier this month.

My copium theory is that Sony DMCAed the 60fps patch and the video about the Bloodborne demake so that when they announce a 60fps remake, google searching for “bloodborne 60fps” and “Bloodborne remake” won’t have collisions with our fan projects,” McDonald wrote at the time, something we believe is likely as well.

Will we get an announcement of a Bloodborne current-gen or PC release, remaster, or sequel? Time will tell.

The stream will take place over on YouTube; we’ll embed the actual presentation when it’s available. (Update: it’s above!)
