PlayStation Stars Australia now live

Here are the types of rewards you can expect.

PlayStation Stars Australia, the company’s new loyalty program, is now live within the country.

You can learn more and “sign up” for the program here, though I suspect that if you’ve already got a PlayStation account, you can simply skip forward to the PlayStation app on your smartphone of choice.

(And in case you need links, here’s the PlayStation app on iOS and the PlayStation app on the Google Play Store).

Once in, you’ll be able to see your loyalty tier — of which there are four official tiers and an as yet theoretical one — and access any rewards you can purchase with in-app loyalty currency.

As an example of what’s on offer, here’s what you can potentially buy:

  • Pink Monkey Diorama digital collectible: 200 points
  • Punto Diorama digital collectible: 200 points
  • Rummy | Tortured Artist Capsule digital collectible: 200 points
  • $8 AUD PS Store credit: 2,000 points
  • Hades (full game): 6,250 points
  • Cult of the Lamb (full game): 6,250 points
  • $30 AUD PS Store credit: 7,500 points
  • It Takes Two (full game): 10,000 points
  • Sekiro Shadows Die Twice (full game): 15,000 points

Points needed for the above items are earned through eligible purchases made on PlayStation Store. Active members get roughly 10 points for every $1 AUD spent… so Sekiro is going to take you a while.

There are also additional challenges inside the PS app — including one to simply start a PS4 or PS5 game — which will rewards additional digital collectibles rather than points.
