PlayStation Plus: New subscribers get Star Wars: Battlefront free with a 12-month purchase

New PlayStation Plus subscribers who purchase a 12-month subscription will receive Star Wars: Battlefront for free, Sony recently advised.

Sony says that there are a “restricted number” or codes, sent via email within 10 days of purchase, to subscribers. The deal is on a “first come, first served” model.

A PlayStation Plus membership offers the following benefits:

  • Monthly Games: download 24 hand-picked PS4 games every year at no extra cost.
  • Exclusive Discounts: get special offers on PlayStation Store games and add-ons.
  • Online Storage: receive 10GB of cloud storage for your PS4 game saves.
  • Exclusive Access: try selected demos and official Beta trials before anyone else.

This month’s free PlayStation Plus games include Killing Floor 2 and Life is Strange.
