The PlayStation Network undergoing outages yet again

Overnight, the PlayStation Network was again affected by outages, rendering some gamers unable to login to online services.

Sony made a confirmation of the outages on Twitter:

At the time of writing, the outages are still ongoing. Also at the time of writing, no external group has attempted to take credit for the downtime; hacker group Lizard Squad was quite vocal about DDoS attacks on both the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live over Christmas.

It’s best to follow the @AskPlayStation Twitter account for continued updates on the PSN’s state of service.
