PlayStation app updated on mobiles, allows for code redemption with photo

The PlayStation app has been updated on Android and iOS, now allowing for game code redemption via photo.

The Android app will also open up the PS Store directly from within the app.

Patch notes for the app’s version 2.55.8 on Android and 2.55.7 on iOS are as follows:

Android

  • PS Store can now be opened within PlayStation App.
  • PlayStation Network Card numbers and promotion codes can now be entered within PlayStation®App.
  • Comments that you receive while broadcasting from your PS4 system can now be displayed on the second screen.

iOS:

  • PlayStation Network Card numbers and promotion codes can now be entered within PlayStation App.
  • Comments that you receive while broadcasting from your PS4 system can now be displayed on the second screen.
