PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds heads to Xbox One as a console exclusive

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is heading exclusively to Xbox One and Xbox One X later this year.

A release date has not yet been set, but it’s looking to come out as part of the Xbox One Game Preview Program ahead of November 2017 and the Xbox One X. An update will provide support for the more powerful console upon release.

“Microsoft’s Game Preview program allows us to get feedback directly from players, something that has been crucial to our success on Steam Early Access,” stated Chang Han Kim, VP and Executive Producer at Bluehole, Inc. “Furthermore, Xbox Live’s solid multiplayer capabilities will enable us to deliver the most complete Battle Royale experience to players worldwide.”

The title will head to Xbox One and Xbox One X as a finished retail product in 2018.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is available now on PC.
