Phantom Dust isn’t active at Microsoft, but isn’t cancelled either

Last year at E3, Microsoft confirmed that a revival of Phantom Dust was in the works. Now, the publisher has confirmed the game is no longer in active development.

Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg made the confirmation with Gamertag Radio, adding the game isn’t cancelled, either.

“It’s been a passion project for [Xbox head Phil Spencer] and a lot of folks on the team,” Greenberg said.

“We’re exploring what we’re going to do longer term with Phantom Dust. The project is not canceled. We don’t have an active developer on it right now but it’s a project that, like many things, will take a little more time. But at this point we’re not giving any more updates on it.”

Were you looking forward to the new Phantom Dust?
