PC Game Pass is the new name of Xbox Game Pass for PC

A mouthful is suddenly bite-sized.

PC Game Pass is the new name of Xbox Game Pass for PC, making it easier for users to understand the subscription service and saving writers like me from a whole bunch of unnecessary characters.

The Xbox Game Pass account took to Twitter with the tongue-in-cheek announcement as part of yesterday’s The Game Awards presentation.

Quickly afterward, the PC Game Pass Twitter account confirmed that players should expect new titles including Sniper Elite 5, Pigeon Simulator, Trek to Yomi and an unnamed title from Hugecalf Studios.

That means there are will three brands using the “Game Pass” moniker — Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which includes the first two sub packages. Got all that?
