Payday 3 announced, planned for a 2023 release date

Patience, criminals...

Payday 3 is in development and targeting a 2023 release, developer Starbreeze Studios and publisher Prime Matter have today confirmed.

According to Starbreeze, Payday‘s gang has become “the tightest crew ever” — but “there’s no rest for the wicked.”

“The release of Payday 3 is years away,” Prime Matter said in a pre-E3 briefing that also detailed Koch Media’s newest publishing label.

We didn’t see much of the title, as it is still a ways away, but we did catch glimpse of Ron Perlman in a live-action cutscene. Starbreeze has also confirmed the game is being developed in Unreal Engine 4 and planned for both PC and consoles.

Expect Payday 3 from 2023 on Windows PC, Xbox and PlayStation.
