Overwatch’s next Hero is “very awesome”, “very needed”

Blizzard’s Jeff Kaplan has shared details of Overwatch‘s next Hero, “well along the path” to full release.

Kaplan described the new as “very awesome” and “very needed”, and confirmed the character is being tested internally at the moment.

Alongside news of the new Hero, Kaplan confirmed details of two upcoming in-game events. First, Year of the Dog will take place over Lunar New Year, adding “significant” content that “players will be very happy with.” This will be followed in April by a revamped version of Uprising, tied into Overwatch‘s anniversary.

Finally, Kaplan confirmed that Overwatch‘s base loot table will be tweaked, offering new non-event Loot Box goodies.

Overwatch is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
