Overwatch: Terry Crews isn’t Doomfist ’cause he didn’t want to “hijack” the game

Terry Crews didn’t voice Doomfist because he didn’t want to “hijack” Overwatch, the actor recently revealed.

“It’s funny because when I went down to Blizzard and we were talking about possibilities, I realized that I don’t wanna be the guy that hijacks a game, you know?” he said to PCGamer. “The creators have a vision and I didn’t want to mess that up. I was not interested in trying to hijack the game. I let them know that whatever fitted [sic] in their program, I would love to do.”

Instead, Doomfist is voiced by Sahr Ngaujah, known for his work in Thee Signal (2007), Stomp the Yard (2007) and Money Monster (2016).

Ultimately, Crews hasn’t dismissed working with Blizzard in future.

“If I ever do do anything with Blizzard, you watch: It’ll be perfect,” Crews continued. “With those guys, we’re all friends, we’re all good.”

Instead, Crews will feature in Crackdown 3because he asked to.
