Outlast Trials a new co-op survival horror game from Red Barrels

The Outlast Trials is a new co-op survival horror game set in the same world as Outlast and Outlast 2, developer Red Barrels today confirmed.

Though taking place in the same universe, The Outlast Trials won’t be connected to previous games. Instead, it is set in the middle of the Cold War era and will allow multiple players to be freaked out at once.

“We are proud to reveal the title and the first image of the game to our great community and fans,” said Red Barrels’ David Chateauneuf in a press release. “Our team is hard at work creating a new experience that will bring fear and anxiety to millions of players, whether they go through the experiments alone or with friends.”

Not much else is known about the title, but we’d expect to see it on Windows PC, Xbox and PlayStation when available.

We’ll keep you updated on The Outlast Trials as we learn more.
