Original Xbox titles will soon be backwards compatible on Xbox One

Original Xbox titles will soon be backwards compatible on Xbox One, Microsoft today revealed in its E3 press conference.

Microsoft’s Phil Spencer made the announcement today, saying his team is hard at work on the feature now.

It’s not every single title, however — like Xbox 360 backwards compatibility, the program will be game to game. Spencer specifically pointed to Crimson Skies, though we’re hopeful that Buffy the Vampire Slayer will also be included.

Original Xbox backwards compatibility will launch within the year.
