Online functionality to continue Halo on PC after GameSpy’s shutdown

Online service GameRanger will ensure that Halo: Combat Evolved‘s online functionality won’t disappear in the face of GameSpy’s shutdown.

GameRanger is a free-to-download service that will take over online support in the wake of GameSpy. The service will support the PC versions of Halo, its demo and Halo: Custom Edition.

Further online tips and tricks can be obtained by hitting up the Halo Fixes forums.

This news comes after publisher EA confirmed that 50 of their titles will lose online support as a result of GameSpy’s shutdown.
