Octane’s jump pads appearing in Apex Legends

Rumoured new character Octane’s jump pads are appearing in Apex Legends ahead of an official confirmation from Respawn or EA.

As we’ve previously covered, a leak suggests that Octane will become Apex Legends’ ninth playable character. Octane himself seems pretty co, a character with a passive ability that allows him to regain health while out of combat.

Octane’s ultimate ability almost seems ripped out of Fortnite (and not the the other way around for a change): it allows him to place a jump pad and use it to escape situations. Said jump pads — minus the character — are already appearing game thanks to numerous reports on Reddit.

We’ll have more on Octane when it’s made available. In the meantime, you can use the jump pads with the eight currently available characters. Fun, eh?

Apex Legends is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
