Nothing can prepare you for the true size of the Xbox One S Kinect Adapter

Stevivor’s Xbox One S Kinect Adapter arrived in the mail today, and we were truly amazed at just how large the thing is.

Expecting something akin to the Xbox One Digital TV Tuner, we looked on in disbelief as the Adapter came in a box almost as large as our keyboard.

No lies — here’s a pic for comparison:

Admittedly, a lot of what’s inside the package is extra power cables — Microsoft doesn’t hedge its bets and basically includes options for most regions without prompting you for your location.

Still, once you’ve picked out the bits your need, it’s still fairly bulky. You can sure tell why the Xbox One S is 40% smaller than the original console.

If you owned an original Xbox One and upgraded (or are thinking of upgrading) to the Xbox One S, you’re eligible for an free Adapter. For more on that, head over to our Xbox One S buyer’s guide.
