No Man’s Sky: Unofficial Android companion app, tracking website now available

Reddit user Aleator83’s NMS Ally is an Android-based companion app that provides a robust set of tools to those playing the game on PS4.

The app lets users share screenshots directly from the PS4, but more impressively, provides a unique create and planet name generator for those times where you uncover something new in the universe.

It also includes an elements journal that lets you track found elements alongside the traders that pay for said items.

A similar, web-based offering called NMSTracker.com is also available for those without Android devices.

No Man’s Sky heads to PS4 from tomorrow, and Windows PC from 12 August, though the app only supports PS4. There’s no word yet on similar apps on iOS or Windows Phone.
