No Man’s Sky: Creator asks you don’t spoil yourself after man pays $1,300 to play early

No Man’s Sky creator Sean Murray has asked that fans don’t spoil themselves after one player shelled out $1,300 USD to play the game early and post gameplay clips.

Redditor Daymeeuhn spent up big to get his hands on the game ahead of everyone else, and almost immediately began to post clips. Most have been removed, but others are still accessible.

This prompted Hello Games’ Murray to ask fans to take a break ahead of release.

In the end, Daymeeuhn seems to have realised the error of his ways, agreeing with Murray’s sentiment and apologising as well.

“The first videos I posted were perfect—they spoiled nothing and just showed a taste,” he said. “There are more spoilers than you probably realize with this game.

“I’m only a couple hours in, barely touched a few planets, and already I’ve had many FUCK YEAH moments. On the one hand, I’d love to share those with you, but in the other hand, Sean is right… why not just wait and experience them firsthand?”

You don’t have long — No Man’s Sky will be available from 10 August on PS4 and 13 August on Windows PC.
